Professor Arthur Bergen, Professor of Human Genetics of Eye Diseases (Amsterdam UMC), passed away suddenly on September 15, 2024. Bergen was an internationally recognized top expert in the field of ophthalmogenetics and a highly driven researcher who was always aware of all developments in the field, and knew how to translate them into his own research.
